This may be disappointing news to PC gamers who prefer playing on Steam, especially since the Epic Games Store comes with some drawbacks.
It has long been expected that Dead Island 2 would be an Epic Games Store exclusive, but now that the game's marketing efforts have ramped up, fans have confirmation that this is indeed the case. Dead Island 2 is aiming for release on current- and next-gen consoles as well as Google Stadia and PC, though those on PC will only be able to get it through the Epic Games Store.
Dead Island 2 disappeared after its reveal trailer dropped in 2014, but the open world zombie franchise has finally made a comeback, releasing a pair of exciting trailers at Gamescom Opening Night Live and confirming a Februrelease date.
